The VAMC Salem has an established research and development program to include —

  • VA-sponsored research, to include Health Services R&D and Cooperative Study Projects
  • Investigator-initiated projects 

Salem VAMC was one of the first VA research programs to receive full accreditation status from the National Commission for Quality Assurance (NCQA) for its Human Subjects Protetction Program.
