Contacting a Veteran Inpatient:

If you come to visit a Veteran inpatient, please see our maps for directions and parking locations. You may also wish to review our visiting hours and policies page. Regular business hours are 8:00 am - 4:30 pm, Monday - Friday.

Contact the Registered Nurse Assessment Line for general non-emergent medical questions on weekdays from 4:30p-8:00a. This sevice is also available 24 hours on weekends and holidays.

If you have a compliment, complaint, or other issue which you believe requires resolution, please contact one of our patient advocates. Their contact information is available on our customer service page.

Former Prisoners of War (FPOW) Advocate:

Our Former Prisoners of War Advocate can provide assistance to Former Prisoners of War. Please contact Rhonda Fletcher, LCSW at 540-982-2463, Ext. 1372 or 2520.

OEF/OIF/OND Point of Contact:
For resources available to returning servicemen and women of OEF (Operation Eduring Freedom), OIF (Operation Iraqi Freedom), and OND (Operation New Dawn), please contact Ms. Nancy Short at (540) 982-2463, extension 1765 or Malinda Shelor-Rogers at (540) 982-2463, extension 1601.

Compensation and Pension:

To speak with someone in compensation and pension, call the Medical Center at (540) 982-2463 or 1-888-982-2463, extension 2893 regarding an appointment. To speak with someone regarding a claim, please contact the Roanoke VA Regional Office at 1-800-827-1000.
