Pharmacy
The Salem VAMC pharmacy processes over 1,800 prescriptions daily. The Pharmacy is open from 8:00 am - 6:30 pm, Monday-Friday (closed on Federal Holidays).

Please note:
- Refills are not automatically mailed; you must select one of the options below. It is usually not necessary to call your Clinic to request a refill or renew a prescription.
- Refill your prescriptions early — 2 weeks prior to running out of the medication. This allows you to receive your medications in a timely manner; don’t wait until you completely run out.
- Most prescriptions will no longer be filled for pick up at the Salem VAMC Pharmacy; most will be mailed from the Consolidated Mail-Out Pharmacy (CMOP) in Charleston, SC.
Options for Refilling or Renewing Prescriptions
Remember to have your full Social Security Number and Prescription Number(s) available.
Online
Enroll for My HealtheVet; once you are authenticated, you may request refills online. Go to www.myhealth.va.gov; or stop by our MHV Connection in the main lobby of the Medical Center. You can also find information about any prescription you are taking in My HealtheVet.
24/7 Automated Phone
An automated refill line is available for all Salem VAMC Veterans. Please call (540) 983-1099 (local) or 1-888-982-2463, ext. 1099 (long distance).

Call (540) 982-2463, ext. 2720 (Monday-Friday 7:45a-4:30p). This is for refills, renewals, and you may speak with Pharmacy staff. Please note this service is not available during evening hours, holidays, or weekends.
By Mail
Your prescriptions will be mailed to you for free. You can drop off your prescriptions in the “drop box” outside the Pharmacy, or mail them or your refill requests to:
