Drive-thru Flu Shot Clinic

Salem VA Medical Center will offer a drive-thru flu shot clinic Monday - Friday beginning October 2, 2017 through October 31, 2017 from 8:00am to 4:00pm, excluding holidays.

Vaccines will be given by experienced nursing staff in front of Building 1. Veterans may also receive their flu vaccine in their Primary Care clinic during a scheduled appointment.

Veterans must be enrolled in the VA health care system to receive the vaccine. Veterans with a VA ID card should bring it with them. Veterans should advise their primary care providers at their next visit if they have received the flu vaccine from an outside source. Salem VA employees who choose to use the drive-thru clinic must show their Salem VAMC employee badge.

Salem VAMC’s Community Based Outpatient Clinics (CBOCs) in Danville, Lynchburg, Staunton, Tazewell, and Wytheville will also offer flu vaccines in their clinic locations during the same dates, Monday through Friday, excluding holidays. Times are listed below:

Danville CBOC:       8:00am to 4:00pm 
Lynchburg CBOC:   8:00am to 4:00pm 
Staunton CBOC:     8:00am to 4:00pm 
Tazewell CBOC:     8:00 am to 4:00pm 
Wytheville CBOC:   8:00 am to 4:00pm

Veterans should contact their primary care provider if they have questions about the flu vaccine.
