May is skin cancer awareness month and with more than 5 million cases diagnosed in the United States each year, skin cancer is the most common cancer in the United States. Fortunately, skin cancer is also one of the most preventable forms of cancer.

Beth Wright, a licensed clinical social worker for Salem VA Medical Center’s Women Veterans Program and Tricia Cox, Nurse Practitioner for Women’s Health spoke with WFXR News' Kianna Price on Living Local in Virginia morning hsow about what Salem VA Medical Center is doing to help female Veterans become more aware about skin cancer.
