Minority Veterans Program

Salem VA Medical Center's Minority Veterans Program educates minority Veterans about their rights and helps them to utilize the benefits they have earned.

The Minority Veterans Program is a Department of Veterans Affairs initiative to ensure that all Veterans receive equal services regardless of race, origin, religion, or gender. The term "Minority Veteran" describes individual Veterans who identify as:

African American
Asian American/Pacific Islander
Hispanic/Latino/a
Native American/Alaskan Native/Native Hawaiian
